Additional ocean variables and data sources

It would be desirable to include the following additional data sources:

  1. Water (surface) velocities
  2. Precipitation rate
  3. Bathymetry with global coverage

We can probably use HYCOM for 1 and 3. Some research will be required to identify a suitable source of precipitation data. ERA5 likely has this.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
