Initial tasks

This is a list of initial tasks to get this project going:

  1. Have a look at David Barclay's PE code (Nx2DSSFPE).

  2. Obtain the RAM propagation code from oalib.hlsresearch.com, install it, study the README file, and try running some of the test cases. (OBS: We still need to decide on precisely which version of RAM we want to use.)

  3. Create a Python script that generates an iso-velocity 3D sound-speed map for the Estuary and Gulf of St Lawrence (EGSL), preferably saved in the same format as the GEBCO bathymetry map (*.nc).

  4. Create a Python script that automatically generates the input file needed for the RAM propagation code based on the bathymetry, sediment, and sound-speed maps.

  5. Create a Python interface for running the RAM propagation code.

  6. Implement the reciprocity integration routine.

  7. ...

The bathymetry and sediment data for the EGSL can be found here: MERIDIAN Google drive
